Midtown Lumber of NYC Opens in Jersey City

Midtown Lumber is one of New York City’s oldest lumber stores. Midtown Lumber first opened it’s doors in 1962 on West 25th Street between 7th & 8th Avenue by brothers Paul and Larry Kopf and was continued on by Paul’s son Michael until 2017. The historical building in NYC was originally a horse stable and then used as a warehouse for the West Side Lumber Co. before it became Midtown Lumber in 1962.

For over 55 years Midtown Lumber’s reputation for excellent service, accurate cutting, and prompt deliveries has helped them remain a reliable source for contractors, apartment owners and local businesses.

Recently, Zach Chasky who has worked for Midtown Lumber for over 12 years, along with partners Alban Krasniqi & Albert Salaj have taken over Midtown Lumber and will continue the business model established by the Kopf family.

Under new ownership, Midtown Lumber has expanded to a warehouse on 37 Fairmount Avenue in the Bergen-Lafayette area of Jersey City. Several members of the Midtown Lumber team are also long time residents of Jersey City and they are excited to finally have a new warehouse and retail store location in this growing community.

Midtown Lumber invites everyone to join them on Friday, June 16th for their Grand Opening at 37 Fairmount Avenue

Doors open at 11am, Ribbon Cutting with Mayor Fulop will start at 12 noon, and lunch immediately following by Big Ed’s Backyard BBQ (and yes, it’s as good as it sounds!).

First come, first serve…so come on down and check it out!
