Back in October, Growing in Jersey City did a series of articles on fitness and wellness businesses. This got us thinking: how can we showcase these business and all the other businesses in a different way that has not been done in Jersey City before? And as we continue to work with people in the city, we are finding more and more businesses that have a healthy outlook on life. Each of these companies has their own method and philosophy and it is really interesting to learn about them.
So what makes GJC Wellness Day different? It is a full day of wellness, fitness, healthy eating, and healthy living with everything included in the price. You get to experience almost every business involved (except you have to choose a discussion). We also have a huge list of discounts and raffles including businesses not at the event because they wanted to be part of it to. We made sure the event is well rounded so we have a cardio kickboxing and yoga. We have clean healthy food and juices that are nutritious and will fill you up. On the healthy living panel and the discussions we have people and businesses from diverse backgrounds of wellness talking and presenting an array of topics.
So what do you get for your ticket of $55? Two workouts, two meditations, healthy living panel, discussion workshops (5 to choose from), a light breakfast, a juice shot, lunch, and a full juice. Not to mention a swag bag worth $30, a raffle worth $1300 in total prizes, and discounts worth $500. All of this is $55 before the event and $60 at the door which is either the price of two movie tickets, popcorn, soda, and maybe candy, or a burger and 2 beers in the city.
GJC Wellness Day is not just a day for fitness, it is a day to check in with ourselves, refocusing, re-centering, and taking a breath. In order to take care of others, our businesses, our lives we have to make sure we are taking care of ourselves. So join us in this fantastic day and get ready to take 2017 head on!
This event was made possible from the sponsorship of Erin Kumpf Acupuncture and Herbs located in Jersey City Heights and with the help of Hudson County Community College Culinary Center who is working hard to be more involved in the community.
