A residential tower at 99 Hudson Street in Jersey City is set to be the largest building in New Jersey at 950 feet tall. The building, developed by China Overseas America Inc., is set to have 760 condo units with 7,365 square feet of park space. Despite being a residential building, the tower will also include about 18,000 square feet of commercial and retail area.
With many different modes of transportation in the vicinity such as the NJ Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, PATH rail system, NY Waterway ferry, and many other forms of transportation, the residents of Jersey City can expect ease of access to Manhattan as well as other boroughs in New York City and cities in New Jersey. The President of the Liberty Board of Realtors, Linda Cantatore, commented on the growth of Jersey City, “The real estate market in Jersey City continues to grow at an unprecedented rate.”
China Overseas America Inc.’s President, Cindy Xiu, said about the project, “We are committed to developing this iconic project on Jersey City’s waterfront”
With the current tallest building in New Jersey, 30 Hudson Street (Goldman Sachs Tower) just a few blocks away from 99 Hudson Street, the building will definitely leave its mark on the ever-growing Jersey City skyline, one that includes URL Harborside. URL Harborside, a triplet of 713ft residential towers being built at Harborside Plaza by Ironstate Development and Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, will bring 2,358 apartments when its completed.
